Hi, I’m Charlie!
The enthusiastic game developer and lecturer with a passion for engaging gameplay systems.
Welcome to my portfolio of experimental personal projects, commercial work, and everything in between. When I’m not developing exciting gameplay systems or writing up pages of GDDs for a new idea for a game, you can usually find me either theory-crafting decks for whatever new card game I’m interested in or re-playing through old 3D platformers.
During my Games Technology degree, I established an indie games studio, Tidy Games, with two of my fellow students on the course as a freelance “devs-for-hire” studio that has also been working on it’s own IP. Alongside this, I have been a part-time Senior Lecturer for Games Technology at UWE for the past 2 years. I specialise in gameplay systems and user experience in both Unity and Unreal, but I have also worked on tools, back-end systems, networking, project management, liaising with clients, and general game designs.
Whilst I can’t put everything on here as some projects are still under NDA, I’d love to talk more about what I am currently working on or potential development opportunities.
